Authority stamp, colour qualmes, or just distasteful humour?
I was in my local thrift shop rummaging through to see what treasures I could find. Being pay week and a few weeks away from Christmas, it was a lot more jam packed than usual. My shopping mission was drawn to abrupt close soon after I over heard the following.
One of the sales assistants was on his way up the stairs when an obnoxiously loud woman bellows “Hey, where are you going AGAIN? Look, you can’t be going to the toilet again you’ve just been! If you’re going to keep going to the toilet, go to the doctor and bring me a note!”
I thought that was bad enough, embarrassing the poor man in front of the whole shop… but no there was more! A customer decided to add their sarcastic 2 cents by saying “Oh gosh Sandy, do you have to bring out the chains again? After which the both cackled.
The whole charade left a bitter taste in my mouth; didn’t see the humour in it at all. I just left the shop with a stank face.
